Fuck and Run, If it Makes You Happy

A question to my every-buddies...
this song, and specifically this line,
from the amazing Liz Phair song 'Fuck and Run',
has it made you cry?

I've been into sciences lately.
Theories about time as a variable,
rather than a constant,
have me thinking about relationships.
And more specifically
time spent in particular relationships,
generating new meanings to the term 'fuck and run'.

It's difficult to view time as anything other than linear.
I accept that, we all live this reality.
But the possibility of warps or wrinkles in time intrigue me.
Even if it's only perceived.

It is acknowledged that gravity is made weaker by distance. For example, there is a stronger, albeit very subtle, gravitational pull at our feet than at our head.
Why?
The very slight difference of distance has been proven to alter gravity's effect.

Therefore, can't unseen 'distances' in emotional connection be similarly labeled?
Where time becomes a variable for one party
and a constant for another?

If someone leaves after a one night stand or someone leaves after a 4 year relationship they both could be considered 'fucking and running'.

Time, Distance, Gravity and Mass are all measure-able and yet filtered though emotions into data distorting perceptions.

Which leads me to the second part of the title and also this essay.

"If it makes you happy'
guess what y'all???
It can't be that bad. Or so I've heard.

I agree.

Hear me now.

Let me start by saying I admit that my scientific data is much weaker for the second part of the argument/equation.
Keeping that in mind, "if it makes you happy" evokes the familiar phrase

"if you love something, set it free...".

True love leaves yourself and your ego out of the equation.

I don't think this is original, but it is valuable and probably rarely experienced except by the most honest and most brave.

PS.- I thought "If it makes you happy" was a Melissa Etheridge song before I did my research.
That would have been a slightly, yet totally different essay.

I'm not a fan of Peyton Hillis, but...

Ok, i won't be coy.
This is a strange first post considering the direction this shared blog will probably take, but hear me out.
The former Cleveland Brown and newly acquired Kansas City Chief running back had a better year last year than most people would realize.
First off, he was facing the Madden Curse.
If you don't know what that is, read about it. I believe in it.
Moving on, and to re-emphasize the fact i am NOT a P. Hillis fan, just surprised by the fact that he had a 5.9 YPC (yards per carry) last year!!!
NFL fans, and Browns fans in particular had high hopes after Peyton's 2010 season.
Look at the numbers.

270 Carries for 1177 yards 4.4 Yards per carry and 11 Touchdowns

He was rewarded for being a good running back (great for a white guy, hence the accolades) by being put on the cover of the Madden video game franchises 2011 version.
Now, maybe he was injured, maybe he wasn't a tough guy willing to play through pain.
But the bottom line is the media, the fans and his own locker room turned against him.
That's telling.
However. Looking at his numbers last year he put up a 5.9 YPC, which is awesome.
Conclusion?
I know the Chiefs primary back will be Jamaal Charles, and he is superior to Hillis in almost every way. But if i was calling the shots, i'd be pounding both those guys with high YPC until somebody showed they can stop it.
Good luck defending that one two combo of thunder and lightning opposing defenses.
